We can only build the neighborhood union—and with it, a better neighborhood for everyone—by working together with lots of people.
There are various ways in which you can get involved with Kalk Solidarisch. Exactly how depends on your interests, skills, and the time you have available. To start with, we are looking for support in the following areas:
Would you like to offer advice?
We offer regular advice sessions for neighbors who are experiencing problems with their landlord, boss, immigration office, or job center. Together with the people who come to us, we want to fight these problems. To make this work, we need advisors. Do you already have experience with individual counseling? Can you arrange to support us for two hours at one (or more) of our weekly counseling sessions? Then get in touch with us!
Can you translate?
In order to reach as many people as possible, we try to offer translation into other languages during consultations, meetings, and events. We also want to make our website and flyers available in as many languages as possible.
Do you speak Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Farsi, or French? Would you like to help with translations in person, over the phone, or with texts? Then get in touch with us!
Do you have something to give away?
We are very grateful for donations of everyday items such as coffee packets, printer paper, and similar items. Feel free to drop them off or contact us by email. We are also looking for the following items for our new premises:
- Lamps
- Washing machine
- Dishwasher
- Stove
- Refrigerator
- Indoor and outdoor plants
- Office cabinet
- Teapots
Donations
As we wish to remain independent, we do not accept funding from the city, state, religious institutions, or other organizations. We are financed entirely by membership fees and donations from supporters who appreciate our work. This is the only way we can cover our rent, printing costs, paper, coffee, and much more. We can issue donation receipts for donations over €300 per year.
